    I recently updated my rear bumper to an ARB...naturally, I lost the blind spot monitoring because ARB has no way of integrating that cross traffic radar in to its bumpers.....

    The installer disconnected the switch- but I am curious, have I lost ANY other function besides that rear cross traffic type alerting? Blind Spot alerting in my mirrors? This is a 2018 double cab.

    Thanks!

    Cant blame you. The ARB is solid as hell. I didnt really look at many other options, I have run ARB stuff on my Defenders for eternity and had good luck. Plus they looked good IMO. The only tough part was having to cut the outrigger holes in the body. Scary moment LOL! Happy with the turnout for sure!

    I definitely value the quality of a big name like ARB, only thing I have from them is my kinetic recovery strap. Tons of companies to choose from, not sure what I'll get yet, ARB is on my list for sure! :cheers:

    Thought I would update this; I have lost the blind spot side mirror function too, sadly. I liked that feature :/

    Bro the BSM unit is in the bumper, that you removed. That also does cross traffic monitoring. So of course, naturally you would lose the alert in your mirror, I don't see why you would think you would still retain that without the unit that provides that data lol.

    To be honest, I wanted to keep my BSM, so I turned it off and drove about a month without it on and I didn't miss it. So I pulled the trigger on a high clearance rear recently and can't wait for it to come in.

    Bro. Yes. Your telling me info that I know Bro. However if you see my earlier post I asked for clarity on if I would lose anything else. So, updating the thread for the next person who may be on the fence. Good luck with your new high clearance bumper bro!

    :notsure::ohsnap:

    I kinda misread his OP, and thought he knew the mirrors and blind spot monitoring where the same system.
