BSM not working

Been looking for a 6MT 3rd gen for a few weeks! Finally found one and picked it up last night. Been so excited! And Everything has been really good. One thing I did notice was that the BSM doesnt blink on the mirrors or the bsm button does light up. I still turn my head for blind checks anyways but wouldnt mind having a functional feature if its already there.

I tried checking the manual book for the fuse location and I dont think the information is in there. Where can I check the fuse?

Any other suggestions for a BSM fix?

Btw. Is a working BSM required for a safety certificate?

 

Here’s the wiring diagrams. But first I’d check the switch on the dash it see if it’s been disconnected.

 

Sounds like a wiring issue somewhere, my 6mt BSM system goes out periodically when driving in heavy rain, but it makes sure to give me an annoying notification on the dash

 

Funny you say that cause it was raining pretty hard today when I notice it wasnt working but I dont get any notifications. Now I'm wondering it did went on and off frequently so they disabled the switch/fuse.

 

I noticed the other day while driving on the freeway, no rain, truck was clean, there was a car next to me and the light on the driver mirror was not lit up. Turned the BSM off and then back on and it started to work, and it has worked correctly ever since.

 

Im not sure if mine work or not.

 

If its new, Id make Toyota fix it.
