My 2016 had been having intermittent BSM system issues where the system would turn off/on and basically just flash. Sometimes it would work for a while, other times not at all. One thing I've noticed is that there appears to be some sort of relay somewhere in the back seat area. When the system is on and freaking out, I can hear it click on and off. The system got so bad, I turned it off completely but I can still hear the relay clicking on/off while I drive, even with the system off, albeit not as frequently.

I feel like my truck's issue is tied directly to the TSB floating around but I'm at 62k miles. I've read horror stories of super-expensive fixes from the dealer -- am I SOL at this point? If I had been rear-ended or something that knocked the system out of alignment, it'd be one thing, but it's obviously some sort of other electrical issue.

The Blind Spot Monitor System does not have a relay in the harness anywhere in the Cab.
    It does have a buzzer:

What would cause that to click/make noise? Sounds just like a relay clicking.

Damn. Sucks OP. One of the reasons I went with the extended warranty when I had a fully loaded one. Too many gizmos that even a competent weekend mechanic would struggle with. Good luck!

Is there a diagram of how the harness runs where I could potentially check each connection?

Easy, just rip it out aka buy a rear bumper. Got tired of it always breaking and bringing it to the dealership.

I’ll admit I’ve had it on my last 3 trucks this last one I don’t and don’t miss it one bit. I do miss my leather and heated seats that’s bout it, first world problems.

I had my BSM go out on me when I made albeit stupid, but necessary close lane distance lane change between 2 cars who were going well under the speed limit but in the fast lane. It was out of commision it seemed for 2 months. Then one day it magically started working again. I was ready to tear into the system with my research pointing to a bad ground in the tail wiring harness, but it just started working just fine. I have read threads about off roading/sand/dirt/debris getting stuck up in the rear bumpers that caused issues as well. Hope you get it back.
