Yep, bubba rope is good stuff; I also switched to using their gator jaws instead of shackles as well (much easier to work with, and won't turn into a projectile if it fails). I still carry a regular strap as well, just in case need to tow, or need some extra length, but for most recovery pulls, a kinetic rope is the way to go.

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
Ive got the 30,000lb one with gator jaws. 30’ i believe. Last winter i pulled out a mega cab dodge diesel truck with a 30’ snowmobile trailer on the back. I hit about 15mph before the rope pulled tight and yanked that truck right out. They are awesome.

Good stuff often is. It's not just hardware store rope.

Just ordered gator jaws I’ll finally have piece of mind during recovery thanks for the tip.

I snapped off a tow ball like an idiot trying to pull someone out in high school, been overly paranoid about projectiles ever since this product was made for me!

Check out Southeast Overland. They make their own, they’re excellent quality, and much less expensive than the bubba ropes and gator jaws.

I went with the 30' simply for more line. Longer rope to safely extract someone else while keeping my vehicle at a safe distance or a safe area.

    Love my Bubba rope.

Love the tip! I do need to pick up a dynamic rope, but in between a 20 or 30ft. I suppose I could make a rope smaller ( not by cutting)

Nope. Extra never hurts; rather have more rope than not enough. Like I said, no need to put the recovery vehicle in (potentially) harm's way and then be another vehicle down.

Thanks for the feedback. Ordered a 30' to match the jaws I already have. I've used the jaws a few times and love them. Rope should be a good upgrade to the strap I've been using

I have two of them, one I use to pull tractors and plow trucks out. The other I use about 10-15 times a year yanking idiots who tried to drive up my road out. They work great, and everyone I pull out is impressed with how smooth it pulls out their vehicles. They are expensive, but worth it.

Accept a donation from the idiots, (your words) that you pull out on your road and you will eventually get back what you gave for the rope.

It's a closed road, with signs, and completely washed out. In winter there is a 6 foot snowbank blocking it off...yet people still try in their Civics because "my gps" so yes, idiots is putting it lightly!

A few of them have actually mailed me money, but I usually refuse the offer. Even though I think they are idiots, there is no cell service for a tow truck, and we are the only house within a mile or so and no street lights anywhere close. I feel as a fellow human, I should help just because I would like someone to help me or my wife in a similar situation.
