Thanks gusher! I'll do what I can. I just got tracking for OEM parts I need to put her back together so it did not matter if the paint was done today or not! Those will be in on Tuesday or Wednesday. But the paint shop will likely not be done until last minute on Friday. He hasn't even shot the test panel for her to go look at and pick between two options. Bummed.... wanted this to be done sooner, not later!

If I can get it done or if the parts aren't available, I'll be there! If it is a nice enough day, maybe she will follow me down with her bike, say Hi and leave. Who knows!

Those are one of my favorite bikes. Fast, sporty looking and comfortable enough to ride all day.

That is exactly why I bought mine. :D While I would love to have an R1, it just isn't comfortable to ride daily... great for track though! I'm too damned old to be humped over like a monkey on a football. Yamaha's FZ lineup is great for sport/touring. Do you own one?

I like the SV1 but not keen on the SV650... underpowered. :D

There's a lot of great deals on used FZ1s to be had. I have a friend who got an '08 holdover (yes, sat in Plaistow Powersports all this time!) with zero miles for $6500. These retail for $10,300. That was a steal but only because they wanted it off the books. Check www.fz1-forum.com for other deals too. (Can I link back on here?)

I love my SV. The 650 is a little better in corners but the 1K blows it away coming out of the corner.

I was stuck at work all day and of course today? Rain, snow, hail.... wtf? No riding yet.... Her OEM parts came in along with the adjustable kickstand so as soon as the paint shop calls, I can get to work. Maybe I will be lucky and he will have them a day or so early...

Wow Denis...that looks like a LOT of fun! I will try and get there early next Saturday!

Took a quick look at the 10-day forecast...I know, I know, they don't know what it's gonna do tomorrow let alone next weekend but thought I'd take a peek...
