Mine didn't come with instructions, but it was all fairly easy to figure out after you look at the frame. Only issue I had was that USPS lost my hardware, but they took care of me right away. (Btw... the original set just showed up out of the blue, lol... I'll be sending it back your way @BudBuilt ).

On the passenger side, you've got the box on the outside of the frame you have to temporarily remove; then slider bolts right up... then reinstall that little box back on over top of the slider. On the driver side there is a little more work... I used a trim tool to pop out the wiring harness plastic trees; then unbolted the brake line bracket where you have to slide in the big backing plate, and I also used the trim tool to temporarily pop off the plastic brake line retainers; then there is also another small box on the inside of the driver side frame to temporarily remove... then get the slider bolted up; and put everything back together (for this small box I use the included coupler nuts on it to re-install).

Bolting the sliders up themselves is self explanatory - they'll line up with the holes to put the bolts through, using a backing plate on the inside of the frame.

They are extremely beefy sliders; and they were also by far the cleanest bare metal part I've ever received... they took minimal prep effort before painting.

Sorry to hear about Bud's health :( Budbilt is a great company and been around forever, always stayed as one of the smaller operations which is probably why some people haven't heard of them. I think they're better known in the 1st gen and older pickup/T4R offroad community. This is the first negative customer service review I've read about them. Hope this all gets resolved and his health improves soon

Same for me. First negative review I've read. They have built quality products and they are VERY well known in the Toyota community. Must've been living under a rock if you haven't heard of them. Even then surprised you didn't hear budbuilt skids and sliders scrape and slide over your abode.

This is unfortunate, but not uncommon for small boutique shops like this. Little set back results in months of delays. OP has 100% right to be ticked and should ask for his money back. But just realize it's not easy running a small business and some things....are just beyond your control. Hope Bud recovers soon.

I would steer clear solely on the long bed gen 3s as they still don't have everything down yet. I couldn't wait anymore on the development, but Rob from BudBuilt was great to work with and worked to refund my money so I could go another route. They still make the best skids in the business in my opinion and once Rob retires I have faith that the company will take off even more.

Just ordered me a pair of sliders from Bud. Wait time is 8 to 10 weeks and two more for powder coating. worth the wait. Talked to one of them late one night for over an hour. He answered every question I had and explained more to me. Down to earth people and will order from them again for armor.

Someone earlier up said they have tons of rep in the 1st gen Taco/older 4Runner communities.
