Polk is definitely a budget speaker. Don't go nuts on them, there's substantially better out there for not much more money. Remember you're going to be essentially sitting on top of those speakers, not in an open environment running unmuffled across a lake with a lot of wind noise while you're on a 25 yard rope. Tinnitis sucks...

I was about 16 when my dad decided it didn't matter we forgot ear plugs, let's pop off some .357 rounds while we're waiting for the evening hunt. Now I'm 43 and have been listing to non-existent ringing for most of my life. Yay dad!

I shot my .357 once without earplugs. Terrible experience. When I shoot, I double up with a headset AND foam earplugs. My issue came from riding a Harley with a Thunderheader exhaust, music blasting under my helmet, and wind noise for about two years. I've since switched to sport bikes and rock foam earplugs under a full face helmet religiously

You will need an adapter, but you can fit either 5.25" or 6.5" speakers in the doors.

My 2000 has circular speakers. If needed you can just buy 2+ inch screws and somehow jerry rig them in there. No one will see them because of the door panels

2000 and earlier use 6.5" round speakers, 2001-2004 use 6"x8" oval speakers.

Will a JL C2 525 system fit in my truck? The tweeters are 3/4 and the speakers are 5.25
