Both options are nice but I prefer a "wallet job" build I think.
Usually they are more creative and interesting. It gives the truck/car more charater.
Whenever I go to car shows I usually find some of the coolest vehicles in the parking lot on the way into the show.

    Check out my build
I like the idea of a budget build, gives me a sense of accomplishment. Budgets also create companies like Elite Fab and mods like the deck plate....but the yota on Extreme4x4 is just badass and there is no way it was anything close to "budget".

6" Fabtech Suspension lift. Headers with dual exhaust. Flowmaster muflers. Engine Computer chip. Tiregate with spare tire. Mickie's TTC Claws 315/75R/16 tires. Dick Cepec DC II wheels. Shrockwork front winch bumper. 8,000 Lb Warn Winch. Heavy duty leaf springs. K&N cool air intake. Sprayed bed liner. Bushwacker flare fenders. 1/2" Steel plated rear bumper.
If you plan on keeping it a while, go for it. You'll never get your $$ back if you decide to sell. I've got a 03 and bought it in 04 and have at least $8,000.00 tied up in mine. If and when the motors goes, I will rebuild.
