Damn nice build @Van-go. Planning on building something similar with those spring sliders was wondering if you could elaborate more on how you set them up ? Any up close pics of how you mounted them? And howa the ride quality characteristics? Both on and off road.

    They ride great.
    smooth off and on road.
I had to modify them a little cause my flat springs were hitting where I pointed to on the picture.

also, I would recommend plating the bottom as I bent one on a rock. I only use about half of the travel in the slide at full droop.

I just welded them right to the bottom of the frame.

they sit lower than mounting a shackle to the bottom of the frame and way easier than frenching a shackle hanger up into the frame.

Thanks I appreciate it, when you say plate the bottom are you referring to the frame or the bottom/opening of the slider? Would that interfere with the leaf spring as it compresses?

    Finished up the back half.
    Painting suckssss
    Aluminum turned out decent.
Broke the yoke on the rear axle. Driveshaft is toast. Cut my fenders for clearance. Overall pretty happy.
Flexes pretty dang good. Uses pretty much all of the 14 inches of the shocks at full flex.

Especially something like that where you have to come at it from a million different angles to get good coverage.

New rear shaft. 2-1/2in 1/4 wall DOM and a 1350 rear U joint.
Used the spline section from the OEM front shaft to slide back into the yoke dangling off the carrier bearing.
Used .188 1-3/4in DOM to sleeve between the two tubes.
Seems to ride fine. Fastest I went today was 60mph. No bad vibes

Went to gulches again. Beat on it good and hard. Didn’t break.

Kicking around the idea of selling this thing to focus on building my buggy. Anyone have any ideas what else I should do to this to add value/finish it up?
I’m thinking a front bumper and fender flares up front. What else?
What should I post it for $ wise?

    You can ask @xweslingx
Bought it without the bed from him. I think it’s long gone though.
