alrighty, so i cracked my first windshield that came with the truck ( what a surprise) so i finally got it replaced and spent the money to get the whole ting tinted and eye browed instead of just the eyebrow this time and also got my whole truck ceramic coated which includes the windshield. not even a month with the new glass and i got hit by a rock at the tippy top and the crack came down and spread. does anyone know if glass has a warranty? also before i but a new f#$%ing windshield i want to put a bug deflector on it to help with the air flow to hope it dosent happen again. but all i can find on line are these guards that just tape to the hood and dont come up at all. im looking for on that comes up to push the air up. also did anyone replace their (3rd gen ) glass with an aftermarket one? maybe a thicker or stronger glass by any chance? looking to see what people did cuz i know im not the only one whos windshield cracked thanks

I’ve had mine on since 2017. I did plasti dip prior to installation. Still looks new. No issues. Installs in just a few minutes.

I have the same AVS and it helps "some" but it primarily protects the hood and doesn't really push the airflow up and over the windshield enough to matter. I still get bugs all over the windshield in the summertime - perhaps "slightly" less than I did w/o but....

This said, I'm on my 4th windshield in 3yrs of ownership - all replaced w/ OEM glass at this stage. All but the last one was from debris so small I didn't even see it hit the windshield just heard the pop and the spider cracks begin... The last time though it was literally a rock that came out of a dump truck while going 80 down the interstate that hit just perfectly in the upper passenger corner. That one would have cracked any glass... but the 2 before that should never have cracked.

I've had to replace exactly ONE windshield I think in my 22yrs of driving many different sizes/types of vehicles... until this Taco...
