I had the avs bugflector 2 from Amazon, but I didn't keep it. It was warped and sat lower on one side of the hood no matter how it was adjusted.

My first one was warranty replaced due to being warped like that and causing a chip in the plastic surround. Replacement fit better, but clearance to headlight was still low. I had to adjust the hood bumpers up so that there was a slight gap.
I use the AVS bugflector on every vehicle that I buy and this has really been the worst fit so far. Using 3M paint film on all of the hood touch points prevents any paint damage on the hood.

I have the AVS Bugflector II, and it directs smaller objects to the windshield. No cracks just a very minor chips from small rocks. Safelight was called after the first one and said they it's too small to do anything with. I'd rather replace a windshield then mess up my factory paint. That's just my 2 cents.

I had the OE Toyota one on my 2016. Did not look too bad and I feel it saved me from some rock chips. Just keep in mind that from the vibration overtime it will end up damaging the paint where it mounts. Happened on a couple trucks of mine and this is why my 2020 does not have one.

I love my Aeroskin ll also. Stick on works for me because I'll never take it off. Put mine on for the looks and don't care what anybody else thinks about these hood protectors. :)

They have this one now with amber lights in it.

My deflector only touches/mounts under the hood.

does yours touch any part of the upper driver side grill? Does it push down hard on the headlights?

If you install the hood scoop it will catch 90% of the bugs,
To avoid wheels spitting rock, do not tailgate and pass.

I like mine a lot and I know it works well to keep road salt chunks from bouncing off the hood at highway speeds. The shield itself has plenty of chips on it that would have otherwise hit the truck. Looks wise, I think they make the front of the truck look more proportional.

    None yet.
I got myself a bug detector for my new Tacoma and it works great. I wanted to know something else. Do they make a bug protector for the top of the windshield? On my current road trip, I have many dead bugs right between the windshield and the rooftop. Please let me know. Thanks.

I bought a WeatherTech but the rotten hood fitment on my truck made the deflector hit my headlight on one side and was too close for comfort on my paint. I took it off and returnerd it. I believe it was not a product issue with me as much as a Toyota issue.

I got the AVS bugflector from Amazon with my credit card rewards so it was free. Up close the overall quality is poor, it has scratches and messily drilled holes right out of the package.

The fit is good I only had to adjust the hood bumpers a little to get it to clear the tops of the headlights, and I used a flexible razor knife to give it a little more clearance over the headlights.

It looks good on the truck and was easy to install.
