Here's weathertech's guard. I just like the look and protecting the first foot or so from rocks can't hurt. These ones are mounted completely from underneath and stay clear of the paint. Can even get a cloth underneath when washing. So no paint issues.

Liked it on my 2009. I do not think it would make a diff on the 2013.

If you can find a 'CLEAR' deflector you can always spray the underside of it with OEM touch-up paint matching your vehicle's color. I've seen it done on a few vehicles and it looks great...it almost has a factory look to it.

Why paint the underside of the deflector? To protect the paint from chipping and/or peeling off as the miles add up...it lends a glossy look to it as well!

Bug deflectors remind me of curb feelers and nerf bars. What I like to call "south of the border mods". A chain steering wheel and fuzzy dice are next.

^ That's some funny chit. I vote ditch it. Just can't get over the look of them. I'd rather have some beat up paint.

I agree. The only resaon I had one on my 2009 was to protect the leading edge of hood from chips. I do not think I really need on on the 2013 because there is not much edge to protect.

    Sorry, I live in AZ

My '06 has never had a bug deflector and it has 152,000 miles on it with only 2 chips in the paint on the entire hood. I'd say they don't really do anything except maybe keep some bugs off the windshield, but at the price of looking like an overdone hoopty, I'll pass.

Remember those bright neon green double bladed wipers? They were the hawtness back in the day.
