    Maybe the dealership had one laying around and threw it on, from my understanding the reason they eliminated it on all 3rd Gens was because it is incompatible with the factory tonneau cover.

    Can you tell me more about your traction board mounts? Is the bracket fabricated? Looks like the mounting bracket Front Runner sells for mounting mounting traction boards to their racks.

    I did it myself, the mounts are Maxtrax and I bought the strap from the hardware store. I also added rubber bumpers to the bottom to keep it tight, no rattling at all.

    Yes and it works well, have the mount on the bed rail and added one top of front license plate. Hero 6 is what I use.
