Hi there, I am a new member but have been lurking for a while now.

I am trying to plan out a build for a 18' Pro and could use your help / advice planning it out.

I am not planning to do hard core off-roading. The main use (apart from serving as a daily driver) will be camping (front and back country) and day / weekend cycling trips (road and mountain) and then skiing in the winter.

I was initially thinking of a tonneau with a bed rack coupled with a Kuat bike rack that pivots out of the way so you can access the tailgate. Then, I started looking at the Alu-cab. The GFC camper is amazing as well but then I have clearance issues getting into my garage at work (6'6" clearance). I have thought about getting the GFC and then taking it on and off but apart from the hassle then I would need to find some room in the garage for it...

On the topic of RTTs vs. ground tents, I am all over the place... I was thinking of the RTT (Yakima Skyline) if I go bed rack (keeping it below the cab roof line) and ground tent if I go with a topper (although I suppose I could use a RTT with the topper depending on the clearance - or I could just take it on and off as necessary).

In both cases, I was thinking a bed slide or at the very least a camp kitchen / fridge slider. I have seen a few installs of the fridge slider in the back seat which is a pretty nifty option that I was also thinking about.

So...given my plans for the truck, what would you guys and gals do? What other key mods do you think I need to make (battery, solar, etc.)?

    Thanks!
