Hey there I am in need of some opinions.
I have a tacoma that I wanna make it drive well. This truck currently drives very rough. What mods are there to do to make my car corner better. I am wanting to make it just more sporty feeling. I am currently on a leveling kit.

What is a good clutch to use for my 2.4l manual that I can abuse. My clutch is going out and I wanna get an upgrade to install.

Factory clutches in a 2WD can last decades, I would suggest going that route, the OE clutch is more than enough for a stock 2.4. For cornering...buy a sports car. But a full refresh of all the suspension rubber would go a long way.

Yea, I know its sorta ridiculous but the idea of having a truck that can do sports car things sounds cool.
I've seen some people on YouTube take front and rear subframes from popular Japanese sports cars and fabricate them to fit onto a Tacoma.
I'm basically just writing this to brain storm and get ideas from other people or if I need to just use gasoline and a match. lol

I feel ya. But it's a bad vehicle to try and make fast. It can certainly be done but after thousands of dollars a 15 year old SUV will outrun it by any metric.

Look up stabfab. He does a good amount of 89-95 trucks but is starting to make more parts for the 1st gen tacomas as well.

I'll head over there since I have a lot of questions.
I also took a look at stabfab and ordered his bumpsteer kit on preorder.
Super exited since I'm curious to how it will help.

For starters. You're gonna want to slam that thing to the ground and stiffen the suspension big time. Then get rid of the 4 banger and slide a 6.0 LS drivetrain in there. Cover the bed and don't forget the ridiculous big wing on the back. Replace the truck tires with some lopro wide meats.

To be quite honest throwing a 6.0 in this sounds pretty sweet. The only problem with slamming it is that the roads where I live are in the worst condition so I have to have at least 3" of clearance.
I would just buy a MR2 but I like ridiculously hard projects to do. I also like to learn more about car fabrication.

I understand, I was there too at one time. If you're going to do something, just make sure it's worth doing.

Not everything worth doing is hard, and not everything hard is worth doing!

I wish someone had pounded that in my head a long time ago. Could have spared me a lot of frustration.

You are totally right. I need to think about this a bit more. My inspiration for this idea was the Pikes Peak Tacoma. That thing obviously had a ton of money go into it. But its sick.
