I suppose to most it wouldn't matter but I'd rather have NO water coming in from above. If it does leak I'll probably be trading someone for a smooth hood. No real need for a non-functional scoop and if I want the panties to come off all I have to do is let that be known... hahaha !

For whatever reason our Tacoma’s are now more of a boxer briefs dropper than a panty dropper…………

Us Bros nodding to each other and now winking at each other.

They say "once you go skewp, you never go back".

I disagree. My truck doesn't have it, this current loaner that I have now does. I must admit, I am not a fan.

Techno babble from AOL days. AIM chat and IRC were popular chat rooms and A/S/L was Age, Sex Location when you started "chatting"...

No matter how I parked, I have never had water in other than maybe some water spots on the top of the engine cover before I removed that.

With the Skewp, I did get splashes of slush and such on my windshield right in my line of sight and trails of soap from car washes. To fix that, I trimmed the back of the Skewp on the underside. You can see pics of that in my build thread.

Are we talking ones that come stock or are they paying 1500+ to add them?

Those that are stock that I see driving around and they are not functional but at least they do look like a scoops not like the ones you see on Silverado which to me do not look like a scoop as the vents are at the back of the so called scoop. They maybe functional but no look like a scoop. just saying

Yeah I agree. I can totally see the hood swapping if you want one or even investing a couple hundred bucks but to me I just don’t understand paying 1500 -2k just for the look of a pretend scoop but each to his own I guess.

Scooped hood threads are about as bad as reps vs authentic wheels threads….

@cybrnook PM me if you need any further details about my experience with the scoop hood purchase/paint/install.

Thanks @msgs350 , you’ve already been a big help buddy. All parts are ordered and my buddy is on stand by for me dropping off the hood next week. Just watching the thread run it’s course now
