Nothing wrong with my 2018, it still gets 26+ mpg, everything works, the manual shifts great, and it's been underwater. Twice

There’s certain people Mike Sweers calls “the chosen ones”, who actually get re-badged 2017’s when they buy a 2019, 2022 etc. He looks back through your social media to see if you are a candidate, then sends a note to your dealer to release a 2017. These are largely the people who have no complaints about their trucks.

My 2020 access cab built here in the usa is fine, performance wise its better than a 2019 trd double cab a buddy owned built in medico.

    Really? Got a link?

I believe you, LOL, I'd just like to read up on it. I'm considering a new truck, and the Frontier is on my radar.

So true ... for sure, more risk involved.

I walked through my local dealer's lot yesterday. One of the six new vehicles on their lot was a Tundra. I liked it. But still, it's hard sometimes to objectively look at a shinny new vehicle at a dealer and miss what you'll see the next day, at home!

From everything I’ve read over the years, I’m planning on keeping my late model year 2017 for as long as I can. It’s been perfect. Seems like I finally lucked out on a vehicle. Sure beats the problematic 2010 F-150 I had prior to it.

I’ve got a July 2021 built in Mexico and have zero issues with it. Nearing 8,000 and a ton of those are off road miles. Nothing like others are reporting. The auto tranny shifts great unless you’re running up a 7% grade for several miles which even my Subaru was doing gear hunting on. Fit and finish is amazing. Overall power of the motor is very very strong. Every inch of this truck works as sold and advertised. I have zero complaints.

Same here. Pretty sure mine was made in Baja, Mexico.

I have a '20 bought in Oct. of '19. The only issue I've had was the CC not working. I already had the KDMax tune and would have lost it at the dealer so, I had the KDMax guy flash to fix the CC and got the new Pro tune as a replacement. Other than that, build quality seems great, a lot better than my previous Ford and Dodge that were terribly bad.

BTW, where do I look to find out where mine was built?

    Just fb groups.

Mine has been super great, everything works really well, but there's enough issues with misfires on cold starts that Nissan has a TSB out with an ECU flash and lower manifold replacement in the works.
