My names Declan and I recently picked up a 2005 DCLB. It's only had one owner, I picked this bad boy up for the low... 6.5k. It def needs a lot of work which I'm no stranger too. At first I wasnt going to do a build thread but after meeting a few members for parts I changed my mind.

I've had 2 other toyota pick ups. One 1st gen Tacoma and a pre tacoma (hilux). Decided to move to a bigger truck with hopes of picking up a flats boat in the future. As well as being able to pull my 2001 ITR to shows and track events.

    Some of my plans are
    2012+ trd sport conversion
3inch toyotec lift with a aal
    Redo int
Nice set of wheels and tires
    Led light bar

this my inspiration truck Mops Tacoma

Here the day I picked her up

    Update
I need to have a clean interior pretty much its because where I am. This interior was horrible. There was coffee and coke spills everywhere. Food was caked all over center console in between the cracks and around the shifter. The carpet was torn up and covered in sand, stained and did it stink. Seats where discolored from body sweat and who knows what else they also stunk. All of the black plastics had a white residue with a mix of sand on them. And did I mention it was infested with roaches : /

I stripped the whole interior. Used 9 raid foggers in intervals of 3 until they where all dead. Pulled out the carpet and replaced it with a charcoal like the 2015 and plastidipped the centerconsole. Cleaned the hell out of the seats with a wet vac, water and rags, removed all plastics and hoes them down if I couldn't I wiped it down with soap and water. And then wiped it down with armor all to get back the org color. Its looks 10x better. Wish I took before pics but I just jumped into it.

Nice project truck. At 180k does it need much engine work? Based on how the previous owner treated the interior I was wondering how strict he was with his maintenance....Good luck with your project. :itllbuffout:

I would like to hear more about this 2012 sport conversion ? Also you have a lot of patience to pull out that whole interior. Anyway good luck with build can't wait to see what it will look like when finished.
