    I want 285's badd but I don't know if I'm bout that worse gas mileage life yet :rofl:

    Been thinking about 285/75 16's Cooper AT3 XLT or Toyo Open Country AT2's

    Also been toying around with the idear of 275/70 16's with KO2's :annoyed:

    The 275's are more expensive but weigh about 5lbs less / tire and I won't have to trim/cut much if at all

    I'm just kinda dreading having to do gears later down the road even though I know it will be worth it...Just trying to justify getting the 285's and losing 1-2mpg for now. I don't foresee getting new gears within the next year because I will be focused on saving for a house after all this. So I am kinda leaning towards the 275's :notsure: but then I will be dishing out an extra $200-$300 dollhairs for the set of rubbers...1st world problems :oops:

    Gears are worth it but I’d go with the 275s tbh so it’s not as much of a hit for you. Figure you get 3 years out of that set plenty of time to save up for new rubbers and gears.:notsure:

    I'm running the AT3's now and have enjoyed them the last 50K+ miles but they are starting to get sketchy in wet/icy conditions and that's how I totaled my last Tacoma so it's time for a new set. I have been sold on the XLT's until I started thinking about the whatnot and what-have-you's and now am thinking how bad I need them vs want them :bananadead:

    I think my biggest deal is cost right now though too... around $700 for a set of XLT's in 285 and $1100 for a set of KO2's in 275. That's not including Certs or install
