Building a TRD Off Road ?

    I am getting an SR5 V6 4x4 DC LB. Can someone give me a list of cost effective mods/parts along with rough prices of what it would take to get this truck as close to a TRD Off Road Package as possible...

    toss an arb in there and you'd be better than a trd or find an elocked rear end and switch it out.

    For the suspenstion go see if you can get the leaf spring tsb because they also replace all the shocks with the trd shocks as well as the leaf springs and it's free.

    Then I'd say an ARB locker for the rear, but you'd be missing the A-TRAC, Hill-Descent control, hill-start control, etc. that can't be added on easily.

    Yea. more sh** to break. Just get ARB locker, good suspension, and good tires. I promise it will be hard to stop you

    King Off-Road Shock Coilover 2.5 with Resi in the front. King Off-Road Shocks 2.5 with Resi's for the rears, Rear Spring TSB, KMC XD Enduros 16x8, Black Vinyl Fenders, Bed compartment locks, Cobra 19 DX IV with Lil Wil mag mount antenna, CoverKing Seat covers front and rear, Built Right UCAs, Aluminess Expedition Bumper, GY Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar 265/75-16, Custom hybrid style rock sliders.
    The main thing for me getting the TRD Off Road is the locker. It is well worth the extra money. There are other electronic stuff but non more important than the rear locker for me. You would have to get new seats too if you want to get it close to the TRD. The suspension doesn't matter much because getting an inexpensive 5100 set up is way better than stock.

    I'm talking about the electronics. Lets give an analogy. Wouldn you prefer to have a manual 4x4 lever, where you know it is in, or some electronic switch that goes through a process of flashes and beeps?

    Ha yea true. Speaking of jeep I used to own a original 1990 wrangler YJ with no frills and 35s, and yea I miss the manual 4x4. It was great until Chrysler took controll. My point was if something ever happens to any of those numerous wires and gadgets , you are screwed. But all is well, Toyota will last longer than anything built by Chrysler, bottom line.:D

    Yea Toyota is good quality. I will tell you that YJ had the 4.0 Inline 6. Strong engine. Still could burn rubber with my 35s even after 20 years.

    OME 881 coils with OME nitrochargers shocks up front. TC UCA's OME Dakars with extra leaf in the rear. Warn 8000 winch with 80ft custom braided synth line. Custom 60ft synth extension. All pro tube bumper, Hi-lift jack, Safari Snorkel, Wilco tiregate.
    Just weld your spiders together or get a powertrax full time locker. I love mine.
