    Check out the link I gave you to know what "mil-spec" means in this instance. It has nothing to do with lowest bidder, or civilian vs. military, even though it is taken from the military standards.

    If you absolutely have to have gas-piston, then I would suggest skipping an AR and going with a platform that has been designed from the ground up that way. For a little more money than a LWRC you could get a SCAR or an ACR.

    If you absolutely have to have a GP AR, then I would definitely not get a piston conversion. Adding a conversion to a bolt that isn't designed for it is asking for trouble. Check out the uppers from Addax Tactical - http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=137 I've read nothing but good things about them, and the price is right.

    x2 There you go, a GP designed rifle for less than you could build a GP AR. Hard to go wrong at that price.

    well the thing with the gp conversion kits is that they come with new bolt assemblys. and it all depends on how much i have in the bank cause i am also looking at geting a scar maybe. but it all depends on were im at with money when i get home.
