Building Up a 2006 Toyota Tacoma - "Jarvis"

I've driven a white '98 Tacoma Access Cab for the last 12 years that I've loved and tinkered with, but now I have three girls 5 and under, so I needed something with more room... enter Jarvis!


It's a 2006 double cab long bed with 145,000 miles. I'm starting to spruce it up and wanted to share the journey, and ask for some input along the way! Things I've already done -

1. Installed the Smittybilt side steps (pictured)
2. Ordered a new sound system from Crutchfield (panel speakers, double DIN head unit, and a powered subwoofer for under my seat that I had in my old taco) - install to come

Things I'd like to do/thinking about:

1. Brush grille for the front
2. Refinish the front headlights that are pretty cloudy
3. Aftermarket backup cam built into tailgate handle (looking at this one)

And something I wanted advice on....

Looking at it, I can't help but shake the feeling that the tail is sagging a tiny bit. The rear leaf springs were replaced pretty recently, and here's what it looks like:


I don't want to do a full lift or anything - just something to lift the rear a little bit for look, to help with towing, etc. What do you guys think? Was thinking of a 1.5" spacer or perhaps an AAL. Have never done anything like that before, so I welcome your input! Excited to share the progress!
