NICE!!! Great Idea... I wish they would have left the old style rear seats for the Access Cab for the 09's. Although people tel me the new seats are more comfortible.

width = 51 inches x 19 inches...the length of the feet determine how level it sits. I made mine so it has a slight tilt towards the back

Thanks for the directions! I went with 51 x 19 '' though I wish I would have made it 52x 22'' oh well. Works well and I put some carpet padding down for him under the carpet

    This is GREAT!
Wish those darn rear headrests were easier to remove!

I made one for my 2017 AC,

also removing the headrests does give the dogs more room the covers are a lot harder to pop out on the 17 but a couple micro screwdrivers and trim tools make it easy.

    Dimensions 20”x52” 3/4 Plywood
    Indoor/outdoor carpet from HD
    2x4 for Legs
    Staple gun
    Locktite Adhesive spray
    2”-2 1/2” wood screws

    Heres some pics Pups included

    Hope you guys like it

I have four doxies and they would LOVE for me to build them a platform like this for my 2011 Accesscab!
Yours is so cute! (And the platform is nice too!)

Thanks, he loves it. He can jump from the front to the back easily now. I also put a kennel matterss back there so he's got something soft to lay on while we're out wheeling.

I took out the rear center console a year ago and installed a truck-style sub box behind the driver's seat because the box was a little too wide to fit with the console there. However, now I have to stuff the hole where the console went with sweat shirts and coats to keep the dogs from falling off the other seat where the dog bed is. It would be so nice to build a platform across the back where I could give them more room. This is a great thread! I've picked up so many ideas and will build something next weekend. I'm going to remove the jump seats to get more room. Here are My babies. (Shot this in my studio. NO Photo Shop. Manual focus, on Film.)OurGirls.jpg

    Question:

Does anyone know what size (and thread) of bolts I will need to anchor the 3/4" plywood platform to the rear seat belt mounts?
Can I get bolts that are 3/4" (or so) longer than the ones that came with the truck? That looks like a good place to bolt down the platform. I want mine to be permanent.

How long were the legs that go from the platform to the floor?

    Thanks!
