Thanks for all of the info y’all, gonna get one of these built over the next couple of weeks. Just curious, anyone try hinging the legs rather than bolting in, or have any thoughts on this? Thought this would make it easier to take in and out and allow easier access to stashing stuff underneath. Thanks!

Ripping out backseats and console n plastics.
I took it all out except rear liner and its way better. i want my dogs to have the headroom n the seats and sub are total crap. left the seatbelts in bc i might take the front seat out and put in seat that converts bed-like 1st class flight.
Also working on narrow slide storage deck that pulls out -that will accomodate a very large dog crate.
sell the seats n sub n head rests and that will pay for all the interior mods including led lights in back and upgrade stereo bc thats total rubbish as well.I have 126,000 miles on my Tac Access cab 4x4 w tow package and extra high shell. Toyota has been good to us 2nd gen'ers with recalls and extended warranties. I think I paid 33$K. Love this truck-but do dream of a big comfy cab of the U.S. models. if we get a 3rd dog then we are def upsizing.
I spray painted the storage covers mat black and sprayed truck bed liner on the rear cover-looks better now and it feels so much bigger inside even from the front seat.
Anyone done any dog mods on rear door windows of access cab- does anyone make a different insert?

Hi there, new to the forum. I'd love to see the dimensions of your dog platform BSP4x4. My 60 lb guy is always slipping off the seats or half on the floor. I like that your platform is easily removable as well.

Long overdue, one of the main reasons I bought a truck was to travel with my dog, if I had paid attention to the horrible cab design I would've gotten a double cab. In short, after looking at these ideas, I opt with an easier option (more expensive)

The middle doesn't lay quite flat and it may be hard for some dogs to jump up that high but my 50lb heeler and GSD mix loves it. This is just an alternative option for others that are lazy like me

I made one out of 1in aluminum extrusion. Bolts in via two bolts (seat belt anchors). Has flip up lids to access storage underneath. Added some foam padding but I will probably apply bed liner to my panels instead. About $100 in material and an hour or so to bolt it together. You can order your lengths precut from tnutz.
