    Our temperature/compass display has never worked. Found the thread on the 510 resistor repair. We pulled it out and one of the resistors was completely detached, just laying in the housing and the other side had one side detached. Got them re-soldered on, but won't be able to reinstall until tonight. Hopefully it works:

    I just binged all 18 pages while looking like a productive department head at work :rofl: Some threads are just worthy.

    This thread is awesome and reminds me of a similar project I always wanted to do with my dad after he came back from a year-long deployment (and sold his '96 Impala SS a month before I got my permit).

    You got a great thing going, OP, both the truck and the experience with your dad.
