Thanks. Yes, we have been doing alot of research. I know how I want it, the challenge is getting close to what I want for a reasonable cost.

We got the engine and transmission seperated. That wasn't easy, the driver's side pin was stuck, lots of wiggling, and prying and we finally got them apart. The fly wheel looks ok, but we will get it resurfaced.

That flywheel is very much NOT okay; those looks like some pretty serious hot spots, likely either because the previous didn't know how to drive a standard, or because he/she liked to do stupid things in parking lots. I would recommend replacing with new if possible.

OK thanks, the LUK is $80 on rockauto (comparable to getting it ground), have people had good luck with them?

We made these fixtures for locating the rear cab mounts and the front bed mounts onto our new frame:
    upload_2021-8-26_8-38-24.jpg

    upload_2021-8-26_8-39-2.jpg

Then cut those mounts off the old frame and I sand blasted them:
    upload_2021-8-26_8-40-9.jpg

    upload_2021-8-26_8-40-55.jpg

Then got the old frame out of the way:
    upload_2021-8-26_8-42-6.jpg

and the new frame into the garage:

Thanks, I am getting pretty good with the impact gun, but my dad runs the plasma cutter and grinder still because of the dust and fumes. I have started practicing with the MIG welder. Here are my first welds:

The old owner of our frame had someone torch the cab mounts. We cleaned up the cuts and boxed them back in with 1/8" stainless steel. Hopefully the cuts are big enough.

Why stainless steel? What kind of mig wire did you use?

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
Shouldn't matter since it's being welded to mild steel anyway. For the most part IIRC the penetration is the same, just it's corrosion resistance.

Also sub, you have a cool ass Dad and it's awesome seeing someone your age having enough focus to take on this project.
