We are pretty sure that we won't be able to leave the short tail pipe, but will have to get some more tube if they reject it.

We replaced the lower O2 sensors with new DENSO sensors:
    upload_2022-3-22_15-52-3.jpg

    upload_2022-3-22_15-52-44.jpg

The upper ones are like $100 each so they will have to stay until they go bad...

The body is back on. We paid a flatbed to take the chassis and body to a friends house to use his lift. Much safer than the material lifts that we used to take it off. We painted the engine compartment in POR-15, then went over it with satin black.

We also made the decision to go away from 2" LT and back to stock LCA's, SPC UCA's and a regular 3" lift in the front. Mainly for less future maintenance due to the NE winter salt.

Here is what the salt does. Since we turned our OEM CV axles into +2" LT axles, we went to find a new set. We found these at a local junk yard from a 2017 with 50K miles, and look at the rust. Got them for $60 each. We will regrease/boot them.

And our replacement frame came with new LCA's, so we are cleaning them up:

And we got the sway bar painted as well:

    Coming along nicely.

Going through a carwash with undercarriage wash a few times a month in the winter goes a long way in reducing corrosion, especially on the frame.

We designed and 3d printed a fixture for checking tire clearances. we printed a few different tire sizes and the fixture has a slot for adjusting wheel offset.

    upload_2022-6-6_8-44-28.jpg

Great tool for seeing what will hit with different tire sizes and wheel offsets:
    upload_2022-6-6_8-46-23.jpg

We will be bending the pinch weld over next

Nice tool I really like to see the ingenuity of home made tools. Are you going to run the 34's!

Also with all the work you've done on that frame I'm surprised to not see cab mount relocate's. Looking forward to the final product, it'll basically be brand new.

not sure yet on tire size and wheel offset, we made the tool to see what would fit. We folded over the pinch welds and they now seem to be about the same level of interference as whats left of the body mount and the firewall. so we will fit the biggest we can. now playing with LCA cams and the SPC arm ball joint positions to get the alignemnt in the ballpark with the most possible tire clearance
