Im getting in a damn argument on facebook with someone trying to say that a built b20 civic will absolutely demolish a boosted supra ... does anybody agree with him? i dont think so i helped my bro build his supra and was able to put out about 729 rwhp before he sold it, i just dont see a civic doing that, at all

depends on the type of shell it's in..... the crx shells are famous for being gutted and put a built motor in there those things can get scootin..... look them up... there is one built one beating the crap out of an SS camaro....

coming from being a once hard core honda guy i would say boosted to boosted depending how the b20 is built. i could see the b20 (maybe) and i stress MAYBE hangining with a supra but not beating one straight up. (k20:k24 frank) now thats another story

first off b20 not built and boosted = thrown rod right out the block.
2nd- NO TORQUE you might have around 400 horse but still like maybe 200ft lbs torque
3rd- FWD = FTL havent you learned from trying to ride a tricycle its just not that effective at hooking up with traction.

Tricycle ftw hahahaha ice yeah now im having a rsx saying that he can beat my taco, which i know he can because its a 2500lb car vs. a 5000lb truck, he said ill leave the full interior and ill put in four spare tires, ok so your at 2800lbs. big woop haha

im a big civic guy but i love the supras as well. I used to have a 95 civic coupe ex. Swapped a b16 into it.

I knew my limits as to how fast my car was tho. That guy with the boosted civic better have it built and boosted, and know how to drive then he still prolly wont have a chance against the supra.

I love the look of the supras, and ive always wanted a late 80s twin turbo supra. They are bad ass!!!

the old box body style? yeah he is thinking of swapping out i think is egr6 or ejr6 for the b20 and wants to build it, he thinks the built b20 will alone beat a 1000hp 729whp supra, uhm hello no, i keep telling him the times at the track 9.4, 9.1, hes like well a built b20 will do 12.4 i was like yeah try getting an extra three seconds from a turbo alone, unless its like a 94mm turbo then yeah it'll do it but any other size it wont come close

it all depends on how deep your pockets are really. you can make a damn pinto faster than a supra if you have the money. out in Palmdale, iv seen built VW bugs run 8 sec and complety murdering Zo6's, NSX's and even Supra's..... but i do pick the supra over the civic.
