    Indeed.

FYI- I think you're going to need a press if you want to replace those rear bearings, Technicolor Vomitface. Not 100% certain because I've never done it on a Tacoma, but pretty sure nonetheless

I agree with this, especially with getting someone to press in bearings...man a lot can go wrong. Its def nice to have the truck available and running regardless of how the other install is. Im sure you could eventually sell the spare after removing it.

I think just the approach to some of the responses can easily be read the wrong way. But hey, its the internet. Regardless, thanks for your info as it def has enlightened me for the future if needed.

I would never directly swap something without taking it apart and looking at. Thats where I'm coming from about rebuilding items, even if its at 50K.

It seems in OP mind set, with this whole vibes issue, it was to post on the forum, spend money, post on forum spend money. When he could have saved money, if he just looked under his truck. Like I said he's not the only person that does this, look at the whole 1 piece driveline thread.

    No hostility from me.

My tone is because of all the debt this has already caused. It doesn't fucking matter what I 'could' have done or 'should' have done, what is done is done and I have to live with it.

I'm going to be aggravated about it, because its my fucking problem. I appreciate any help anyone has tried to lend, seriously. I know its all coming with no ill intention.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I will never fully admit that I have the slightest fucking clue what i'm talking about. I have to learn as I go, just like everybody else.

I rebuilt the drive shaft because It needed rebuilt. When the noise was still there, I hoped that it was the cheap/junk parts I purchased. So I bought better parts. When the wait for those took too long and my work load started to pick up, I said 'fuck it' and ordered another driveshaft hoping I could stab it in and problems would be solved; I could continue working etc.

However, as soon as this second pinion seal blew, I knew it had to be something in the rear end. So I described the problem to several differen folks I would happlily classify as 'professionals' and they said its a bearing issue, most likely the pinion bearing(s) because of the factory crush sleeve having so much play. So I started ordering gaskets and axle seals while I made phone calls and questioned ECGS up one side and down the other about ordering a third member since I have enough personal humility to know that I can't fucking rebuild it myself and I cant afford to pay someone else to do it, to have to wait on them to get to it, to hope it is right....ETC.

So I ordered parts. I ordered a third exactly spec'd out like mine but with all new bearings and races and a new solid spacer shipped to my door, assembled, ready to go with a 5 year warranty. Hoping that will be my best course of action.

Do I know for sure? Fuck no. I don't know everything, unlike some people on here. If I knew everything, I wouldn't waste my time on the internet because no one would believe me anyway.

Of course i'm going to inspect everything once I take it apart, but i'm not having it sit in pieces in my driveway until I have the shit to be able to put it back together. I'll lose money and take several days to do it myself if I have to. Because I have no choice.

See, I wouldn't even joke about something like that, for sake of someone else seeing it and not taking at face value. Then they could have a serious problem

Yeah, but I know that you're mechanically inclined enough to know that it's a ridiculous number and ignore it. :notsure:
