I do enough highway high speed driving, i’d be afraid to ditch the sway bar. The only way i’d do it, is if I actually tried it back to back and proved to myself that I didnt need it.

right now, i have the sway bar on poly bushings and good end links, and its suuuuper stiff with minimal body roll in the front. I like how i can just dart the truck into any direction I need it with these ridiculous drivers around here

I’ve never ran either and haven’t had issues but I can see why you would want to. If you’re gonna do it I would recommend using a digital angle finder to set it up right versus just guessing at it.

I used an analog dial gauge that my grandfather has from when he was a GM master tech for years. I mean it worked fine:oops: and I figured i’ll try that route again. You think i should order a digital one?

Oh, that works too! I just use w magnetic digital one, super easy to use but if the analog works for you, that’s ok too.

I think a primary part of the problem is, when I didnt have the sumo springs, the truck would squat and then spin when i took off or did a “brake stand” :anonymous: But since I added the sumo springs, the truck cant really squat and would not spin on take off. It just kind of chirps the tires and goes. So that usually means the torque is being converted into axle wrap.

Gonna have to contact @HeadStrong Off-Road for some guidance before I order anything. Is Miss Marie still being a boss at suspension setups?

Differential for the truck should be here and back together tomorrow evening.

    I ordered the following:
Stoptech front stainless braided brake lines, bilstein 6112 front coilovers, new top hats, and a manual spring compressor to assemble them.
Also, Icon RXT convertible leaf springs (adjustable from 1-2.75” of lift), bilstein 5160 external resi rear shocks, low range offroad ubolt flip kit/ubolts, and 24” extended stainless braided brake lines.

I should have everything by Thursday 5/5

So far so good. Retired 2 years ago from the power company, but I’m still farming. Finished harvesting a couple of weeks ago and now putting gas on next years corn fields. How’s things been with you?

    Absolutely LOVE that.

I’m currently in the process of uprooting my entire life and moving from MD to WV. The past 30 days has been a mess to say the least. Still on the hunt for a new job and the market is kicking my ass. Just last week I applied for a job, interviewed over the phone, went great. Got an in person interview, get there and the position I applied for is no longer available but they coincidentally have two shit shifts available that no one wants. I told them no thanks, have a nice life pulling the bait and switch on people. This has happened to me a couple times in the past two years. A company offers a great job, then when you apply its mysteriously gone. I’m sick of it. I want to work for myself in the worst way.

Well take it from an old man, if you wanna work for yourself just do it! I was lucky, I only had 3 jobs since I was in high school (besides farming my whole life.) I bettered my income with each job and was at the power company for almost 22 years. But what I always wanted to do was farm, but I never thought I could make it (but I could have.) The moral of the story is just go for it, or you will be an old fucker like me wishing you would have gave it a shot.
