I’ve been wheel and tire shopping extensively lately. I need to drop a bunch of links and info here.

 

Yes, yes you do. You know I love a good tire discussion.

 

I rolled over 130k this past week

 

I’m at 133,890 i think

 

For tires, i have almost exclusively decided on the Toyo open country AT3 in LT255/80r17



So far, they are the most reasonable in price and the lightest in weight so they seem to make the most sense for me. The new Falken AT4s are abouy 6-7lbs heavier per tire so that kinda kills it for me…

As for wheels, i’m leaning towards these Kansei wheels

I was considering the circuit offroad stellar, but they are way too gold and not dark enough for a “dark bronze”

additionally, i reall would love to have some Gramlight 57DRXs but…they’re $2500 a set

So the kansei wheels are the cheapest, they are actually 17x8.5 +0 like i want, and the color is tolerable. I just hope my TRD center caps fit them.

My current wheels are 17x8 +0

I want to step up to 8.5 width because i’m going down 10mm in section width. Which will mean i’ll lose a tiny bit in height from the 33s to keep the same “poke” from my fender wells that i currently have. I want to keep the same “look” that i have now, but with more height and less rolling resistance

My current wheels are 17x8 6x139 4.5 BS 0mm offset 22lbs a piece

The kansei wheels are 17x8.5 6x139 4.5 BS 0mm offset and one spec sheet says 23.8 lbs while another says 26lbs…so thats interesting…

I have my used set of Grabbers in my basement that I haven’t even put up for sale yet, so I know your pain.

 

Well, when we were headed to our hiking destination, i was supposed to meet a guy to sell the wheels around the halfway point on the route and he messaged me right after I loaded the wheels into the truck that he decided to back out. So i unloaded them and continued on our journey. I hate how people are so eager to waste other’s time on marketplace
