I haven't seen much discussion on this feature but wanted to share some test results from a recent working vacation with low signal in a Big Sur campsite. The phone (also AT&T) had one bar and barely useable data speeds. When I turned on the built in AT&T hotspot, I achieved very workable speeds for video calls, streaming, etc.. presumably due to the built in antenna gain.

Wondering how this compares to people's experience with WeBoost type boosters. The advantage is it would be easier to run the WeBoost off of house power (Jackery) when parked instead of draining the starter battery but I don't know if that alone justifies the cost and extra antenna compared to unlimited data on the AT&T hotspot for $200 a year.
