BULB SIZE OR LEDS

I need to know what size Bulb or led will fit in the
Fog light switch and Rear differential switch on dash
both of mine are out, they are tiny
I was going to order some leds from Super bright leds

 

I believe this will be the size. Tacos don't use LEDs.

The dealer will have them , but bring your wallet to the parts counter.

But I think you can change them out to leds I just need a bulb size to convert

 

As long as the socket feeds the lamp at 3 volts, otherwise you'll need a resistor inline.

Its either a 3mm, 4mm or 5mm in size here is what im looking at on Super Bright leds

A while back I saw something on the forum stating the size of led to replace this with, I have been searching this thing for the last few hours

 

Take the dead bulb out and measure the base.

Those LEDs are already equiped with resistors, you're good there.

... I thought you were going to install an LED from scratch by soldering it in yourself... my bad.

 

The fog light switch will be the 3mm ones on SuperbrightLEDs. I'm not sure if the diff one is the same. Take them out and compare.

Yes they are the same size on both of them

 

Ok the lights mentioned above are perfect minus just a little shaving with a knife.

On the led is 2 pieces of plastic on each side of the led that are used to twist and lock in

I shaved those of, the led then slides into the slot and locks in

If it does not come on, rotate the led in the slot

If you do not it will not fit, even after trimming it fits very tightly.

 

Did you trim the entire locking part off? Or just trimmed it down? And what did you use?
