Bulb stuck on tail light housing

i'm trying to replace the stock tail light bulbs with led ones but i can't seem to remove the bulb from the housing. no matter how i turn it, it won't come out. did anybody else in this forum have this problem and how do i solve this issue?

 

It's a 2020. Push in and turn.

 

so apparently the top tail light bulbs were overturned (i don't know how the factory made a mistake) the arrow was way off the designated spot like it was on the opposite side of where it should be so I got an adjustable wrench and turned it back into place and now it pops in and out easily and installed the led bulbs for the brake, turn signals, and the back up lights. Thanks!

 

yep, i saw this and i was like "he just turned it so easily" so i figured something was definitely wrong. i'm glad my taco's all better now lol.

Dubious factory made a mistake. Glad you changed a bulb. Good luck.

 

When you say that you “turned it back into place”…
What do you mean?
My 2021 Tacoma … these bloody lights won’t budge. It turns a bit and then the top lights are hung up?

mom guessing that is the OP’s original issue too?
