    Happy Friday!

Longtime reader with a what I’m sure is a question that’s been asked a ton of times so forgive me.

I’ve got an 18 SR5 4x2 and I live in the country but all on road driving. Tons of wildlife….I want to upgrade my lights but don’t want to blind oncoming traffic. Am I better off just upgrading the bulbs or is a light bar the thing?

Please don't drive toward oncoming traffic with a light bar on. It seems to be a trend in this area, along with 24/7 high beams.

Note that light bars and other offroad lighting is generally prohibited on pavement, but I never see that being enforced. It's kind of a free for all and just up to common courtesy these days.

Doing the H11 to H9 conversion on the low beams is a big benefit. Also, dropping some LED bulbs in the stock fogs and properly setting the height can throw a lot of light forward. Of course, the fogs will blind oncoming traffic also, so please turn them off in that situation also?

    Skip the bar

get some Ditch lights. Far more useful. I’m running rigid dually SS and they get by far the most use of any lighting I have
