Ask the deer i hit with my last bull bar!

    opps, cant, he died!

Only ended up with a minor dent in fender,

with no bull bar, the whole front end would of been damaged.

I say no bull bar. Keep it stock. If you're going to any sort of unbolting, bolting, or attaching something to the front of the truck, I would go with a plate bumper. But don't put too much stock in my advice I don't even have a second gen truck. LOL

If it is just a standard basic black bull bar (nothing fancy), they are alright but not something I'd ever run on my truck though. I have a buddy who has one as described on his Tacoma, our trucks are just about identical, and it actually looks pretty good. By far the best one (style) that I've ever seen and have never come across another like it one of these tucks. Have almost thought making a thread asking what brand that it might be.

The one's that I can't stand are the Westin type that have the blingy chrome skidplate or whatever incorporated down below it. To me those are awful.

It's an old modular version of a bar they no longer make. I remember looking at it in envy as well. Got the Avid and never looked back though. No regrets.
