I posted this in the audio section with no response I'm thinking about buying this OME style head unit with GPS navigation, Bluetooth, ect they look like a high quality knock offs of the original 2005-2012 OME Navigation units for $160. For that price I'm wondering if they are a scam or a legit company.

If youre looking for an OEM looking stereo with nav and all that, I'd check out Ottonavi. Its the same headunit pretty much. There is a guy one here who has one, but they're about $500

I just clicked on it to check it, and the number sold keeps switching every time just like Nammer stated. Wow so sad people have to scam people

If your looking for OME replacements, This company below i deal with ( over seas clients)
Its a really solid deck, much better than stock and better than most of the decks on the market. It has a built in dsp, Eq, and all the audio related functions one would want.
    http://www.pixen.net
You can have 2 cams, so front rock cam and rear reverse cam,
Can connect a 1tb HD, as well as Memory card to store all the apps on
NAvigation, run your Obd2 data and the list goes on....
The tacoma sadly doesnt have a direct OMe replacement and one will have to go with the universal model. I am playing around with the idea to bring a GB in on this but not sure yet

    This.

That bullhole looks like crap and could be a scam. Manethon knows what's up on these HU's.

    Thanks for ideas.

Manethon can you post or PM me a price and more info on the Pixens? Am I right in thinking that it is similar to a Parrot Asteroid?

Would the universal one fit in without any gaps? would it work with the JBL system?

    Sure thing,

    IT is but its not.

This unit is very complex and offers much more than anything on the market.
Take a Nexus or iPad and incorporate a Built in Digital signal processor, Time alignment and Eq into it plus a few other very handy factors.

So for those people that want a Stock look, but don't want to go and buy an after market processor/ loc like cleansweep, Audison bit 10 etc then this is the what this offers. Nothing ells on the market offers this.
Why have you not heard of this ? Well simply look at the website, 99% of their business is directed at RHD vehicles.

I cannot comment on the JBL system. Let me ask my associate about fitment and install. I only saw one and played with it but i didnt really pay attention to install and all that.
