Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions... Just saying. People come out strong after growing up... There is also a lot of pent up aggression that follows.

Fighting back can have its own consequences. I remember the first time I stood up and defended myself and I was suspended for that and the following six times later. I'm not saying they shouldn't have to put up with bullies (honestly there should be none to begin with) but any action has it own set up consequences.

    Been there...

My boy, I will back him to no end if he's bullied and knocks the fuck out of the bully. If he's suspended from school I'm taking time off and he and I are going out for ice cream and a movie!!!

I don't encourage violence but I do advocate standing up for one's self.

very true, i have a rather large stack of write ups and referals from school, elem. to high school, for fights but my mom backed me on everyone. i never threw the first punch though, i would just talk mad shit and make them hit me or push me and then whoop their ass....self defence:rolleyes: i warned them if they did they better knock me out on the first one

My mom made a rule for me if I was involved in fights at school, as long as they throw the first punch I was in the clear. I felt the rule was very reasonable although I never understood why both parties were suspended.

here even if you dont fight back you get arrested, knowing that in the school system here if someone hits you first whoop some ass cause youre going anyway.

here we didnt have too much of a students bullying students issue, we had more of a staff bullying students.

I remember being bullied quite a bit, especially in middle school. One day I couldn't stand it anymore and I decided to just knock one of bullies on his ass in the middle of a home economics class.. he went flying into a bunch of empty chairs and it made a huge scene.. one of the best days of my life doing that. The teacher ignored the altercation knowing that he was giving me shit throught the year.(I thought I was going to get suspended for sure)

They still continued after that, but in high school it got better after I joined the water polo team.(somehow that changed their attitudes towards me..) The chicks dig water polo players too, so that was a bonus..

While I do agree with you, I don't think we can know what he has gone though. If it's bad enough that he's posting this and on top of that, cutting himself since he was 7... I think it's safe to say sh*t must be pretty f**ked up. Bullying today isn't like it used to be. With the internet, kids can't get away from it.

neither can half of our members!
