For Most kids when they're bullied in school and parents ask "how was your day today?" They'll respond with something along the lines of "oh fine..." AND usually the bully's parents won't know either; they'll just think "oh my kid could never do that..."

Anderson Cooper had a special on bullying with CNN a month ago i think, it was absolutely phenomenal, and the crap these kids have to put up with is horrifying.

I dealt with alot of shit from other kids growing up, pretty much non stop for 5 years. I got in a few fights along the way trying to defend myself, but ended up just shutting the world out, focusing on school and working out, and by senior year everyone wanted to be my friend, at that point it was cool having a bunch of "friends" but I was also bitter because alot of the same kids who gave me a load of shit in the past were trying to be friends with me.

The best way to get over bullying is to shut it out, and make yourself stronger and smarter.

Think about how we was feeling as he was writing the cards though, probably wasn't even thinking about the spelling, he was just writing about his thoughts and how he felt about what's going on in his life.

the thing to do like said before is just to shut all of that out and dont let them know it bothers you. but if it comes to it one day you need to retaliate against the one that has done it to you for so long, i know fighting isint the answer but SOMETIMES the other person just needs a good old fashion ass beating. and i know theres gotta be kids out there that were like me, if i saw someone getting picked on or being bullied, i would step in. im not saying i was the most feared in school but being 6'2 and weighing 260lbs my senior year of high school i protected alot of the underclassman from alot of the bullies. in my eyes it just felt right.

Kind of reminds me of the video of chubby kid in Australia. A skinny kid had been picking on this big guy for a while, at least that's what I've read, and somebody get it on camera for this particular instance. The skinny kid hit the big kid and then the big kid went ape shit and picked the skinny kid up and power slammed him to the ground. :D

That is awesome! But if you look closely you can see that the little shits bigger friend was about to step in and make more trouble. Kudos to the girl that stepped in the way to diffuse the situation.

I had problems with bullies in elementary school as well. Just like the fat kid in the video, I would fight back sometimes. Unfortunately, that does not really help the problem if there is a large group of kids that has accepted the fact that it is ok to bully you. They will just come back in a larger group and see if they can get to you. The administrators at the school became involved when I grabbed one of the pricks and slammed his head into a blackboard in class. One of the teachers addressed the kids involved and told them to quit harassing me. That helped for a while, but they would still try to get at me by stealing my gym bag and throwing it up a tree, or in the toilet. The problem largely went away when I got to high school- I was able to become anonymous in a larger school.

I ran into the guy whose head I slammed into the blackboard 20 years later. The first thing he did was to insult me- good to see he is still a douche bag.

I was bullied once, back in grade 3 some kid i'd been in school with since kindergarden randomly started causing me shit, after 2 days of it I had had enough, I went and grabbed the fire extinguisher off the wall in the middle of class, walked over to him, stuck the nozzle in his face and told him to never ever fuck with me again. I then unloaded the extinguisher into his backpack.

About this time the teacher realized what was going on and came over hauled me off to the principals office. 5 day suspension after I sat down and explained to him why I did it.

They then changed school policy and all the class extinguishers had to be kept behind teachers desks.

Also, side note, I never understood how getting 5 days off from school was a punishment. IN school suspensions were hell, but OUTTA school suspensions were a vacation

I feel really bad for that kid, but there sure is two stories to everything. For seven years constantly, there has to be a back story.

I was never really bullied, maybe in elementry school, but i kind of kept to myself in highschool. When i saw someone get bullied i would just turn the other cheek. And looking back now, i wish i would of just stepped in to prevent it from happening again. But no one is perfect.

Schools down here in FL have really gotten stricter on bullying. Back 20, 30 years ago, bullying was apart of going to school. Well, its not "cool", "fun", or ammusing anymore. Bully someone bad enough in Florida, and you can get charged with a third degree felony.

So, what kids need to understand is that it's not cool anymore, just drop it. Go to school to learn, thats what school is for. If you want to bully someone, go get help from a shrink, not take it out on another human being.
