Short answer? Everything. haha. It's been much too long since we had a Tacoma in, so we have plenty to improve on.

In case you aren't aware, this is not just a PlugNPlay module. This is a tuner. It rewrites your ecu. It doesn't need to be plugged in to function, and we are the ONLY people with a tuner for the Toyota. Not to brag, though... :D

Ok, so it will always be $400 more than the Jeep/Hemi/etc?

Yes, the price is solid. $300 more than Jeep or Hemi when bought from a dealer and not from our website.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I have been wondering about this, if the tuner is installed and there is a massive failure of some kind, and the tune is removed.. Wont toyota see that the ECU has been flashed and deny any warranty coverage?

also, if there is any failure major or minor, related to pretty much anything toyota could consider as related and the tune or tuner is installed, or even reflashed to stock wouldnt the same issue be there?

I dont know much about the whole deal, thats why im asking. I have heard of other companys issues with tuners. not sure on the specifics of any of them since i havent been involved.

Will you be upset if the Bully Dog tuner doesn't open your non-existent sun roof? ;)

How do you know it is non existent?

    :spy:

I made the purchase because I and others were lead to believe that the tuner could perform most if not all of those functions on our Tacomas. I was not so in need of making my truck faster as I have other vehicles that take care of that need. I was just looking for something to allow us to control when our vehicles lock/unlock the doors, power window settings, alarm settings, etc.

Yep, fair enough, I was mostly just busting your balls.

Sorry this product didn't work out for you. I'm still thinking about it, but will likely pick one of these up as I have the supercharger which will allow me to really take advantage of what it can offer.

No worries. 20+ years in the Army gave me some pretty thick skin....

I may eventually pick one up again if they are ever able to get any of the special features to work, which may not even be possible on Tacomas. If I had a supercharger on my truck, I probably would have kept it.

    Oh yea, and this too....

Nice! Good spot, too. I haven't seen it up that high before.

Can't say for certain. I just know that a couple Tacoma's are coming in(or are in, I haven't checked the backshop since Friday) and so they'll be working on those for the next while!
So, any requests or comments would be great to hear right now! The engineers check this thread, but are a little too shy to get involved. ;)
But I will also be passing on information of any sort of requests (especially the ones that show up multiple times, probably not so muh the super personal requests, such as having your windows portray how hard your bass is hitting by rolling up and down... Things like that most likely won't make it into the tune. haha

I have an idea that would be great for the engineers. I want to put long tube headers on my truck, but they throw an engine code unless you wire up a $100 O2 sim that tricks the ecu. Put an option in the diagnostics that when a code pops up, instead of clearing it you can hide it or stop it from popping up again, unlike clearing every drive.

Boost gauge would be nice as well. With my 2 ideas people would save $250 and a couple installs, that brings the Bully Dog price down and more people would see a greater value and increased sales.

You said your facility was in UT I would be happy to drive from colorado to your headquarters to get my truck tuned as I would really like to buy this product. Please let me know if you need my truck

I would love to hear a confirmation on this. I understood from everything that I have read that 2009 tacoma with TRD supercharger was supported but now that I see this question posted it has me slightly concerned. I definitely intend to pull the trigger on this in the very near future.
