So.....I spoke with Bully Dog today. Bully Dog says "The GT tuner that comes with the Maggie SC has to be installed at all times or your truck will lose the Bully Dog Tune" Anyone ever heard this before??

its a piggy back tuner so it doesnt surprise me, you unplug it, it stops changing fueling. Its not like the TRD ecu flash from toyota that actually changes permanently the ecu fueling parameters.

If i was to do a SC, id skip the bully dog pos tuner and hit up the toyota dealer to flash my ecu with the proper supercharger tune.

Another vote for the TRD reflash here. I'm not supercharged but I've read too many negative things about the bullydog tuner, and I wouldn't risk it if I was to go that route. From what I've read, once the bullydog tune is installed, you cant go back to stock and still be able to reflash with the TRD tune. You can go back to "stock" shift points/tune but it will stay on your ECU so you cant get it reflashed at a dealer. This is just what I've gathered from reading.. Someone please correct me if im wrong.

The BD tune is fine. I wasn't having any problems with the tune. I called BD just to get some info on how to check error codes using the tuner. Since then I got in touch with a different person at BD and found out that guy was confused. Everything is steak and potatoes now!

The tune (fuel map) from BD is fine.

The tuner itself is a piece of shit. I struggled with getting the tune installed (6 MT) but once it was finally installed, after an hour on the phone with Bully Dog, all was well.
