Has it been taken apart? When they took mine apart, the body shop found about $1200 in hidden sheet metal and bits and pieces damage they they had to file a supplemental claim for.

Hope so, but you won't really know until it's apart. Best of luck, though, and glad you're fine. I hope mine gets put back together right, since I'm supposed to drive from Kentucky to Denver later this year to visit family.

My brother in law did the same thing on his jeep, took the cash payout and bought a plate bumper.

I got in an accident with my Tacoma 3 weeks ago and decided to get a plate bumper from Pelfreybilt. I just had the body shop repair all but the bumper and will install the Pelfreybilt Plate bumper when it comes in next week. If you were thinking about upgrading bumpers, now is the time. I can't say enough about the great people at Pelfreybilt also. They were very accommodating and there products are just amazing. I ended up buying the rear bumper to match!

Anyone who has experience have a guess on how long it will take to repair the damage?

I just had my Tacoma hemmed up for roughly 3 weeks after my front end collision. Hopefully I get it back tomorrow!

note: I delayed the repair by roughly 1 week checking what bumper I wanted to have installed and also chose the TRD PRO grill instead of the TRD Offroad Chrome wrapped one.

Mine just got delayed again as they couldn't aligned it and said it needed a new tie rod. They also broke my heart and said the TRD pro grill would cost me an additional $800 out of pocket not the $165 originally quoted if I wanted to use it!!!

Hard to say from photos but it looks like it's mainly cosmetic damage!

You should get a bumper now though! Find out what insurance will pay for the whole new facia and use that money toward a @Pelfreybilt ! :)

Glad you are okay. That's the important part.
