Just wondering if there’s a fix for bump steer with a lift. I have dobinson ims front shocks set at about 2.5 inches and spc control arms. Alignment could be part of the problem because I know alignment shops will align according to oem specs and mine is not. Just wondering if there was any tie rod modifications out there to fix it or a rack and pinion drop etc..

    Hey Braden,

Being a 2011, my 1st thought is make sure everything is in good condition like lca rubber bushings, and also the steering rack mounting bushings can be replaced with Energy suspension poly bushings. I know my 2005 rack bushings are bad.

Thanks I’ll have to check my bushings when I get the chance. I do know my inner tie rod on one side is going bad and a shop said my lca bolt is seized so I may start there and then try and get a fresh alignment. Would the alignment specs be a little different on a lifted truck? I kinda already know the answer is yes but I just don’t know how to tell a shop to compensate for the lift as far as what camber, caster etc. numbers to go for. Like I said though the bump steer isn’t that bad at all most the time but it does get a little annoying sometimes. Thanks for the response though.
