    Howdy all,
How are bump stops supposed to be measured for?
Currently running Pro Comp stage 2 (has full Coilovers not spacers) 6in lift with DB and waiting on my kings to arrive for the C/O replacement. When the kit was installed almost 40k miles ago it was also installed with aftermarket drop brackets for bump stops however theres only about an inch in between the bump stops and LCAs on the front and did a chalk test the other day just driving to and from work and I'm hitting the bump stops on normal in town and highway driving.
Is this normal? How would someone determine the how much space between UCA and bump stop for optimum wheeling and driving conditions?

Bump for info as well. My fabtech is exactly the same way. Looks to be literally an inch of movement allowed before hitting bumps on the front.

Only way to really do it right is to cycle the suspension.

But on the IFS front, if you have about an inch between the bumpstop and the LCA, you should have around 2" of bump travel at the wheel.

Would you advise cycling front suspension without coilovers? Or with coilovers still on?

You need the coilovers in, otherwise how you gonna know where the bump stop should be? You want your bumpstop to stop the travel before your shock bottoms out. Even harder if you have soft bumpstops like superbumps. Those things will pancake super flat on hard hits.
You need to take off the coil and let out the nitrogen pressure out of the shock, then cycle it. Yes it's a pain in the ass, but it's the right way to get full travel with properly set up bumps. I've cycled mine lots of time during my swap, and need to do it a couple more times...
