    just the other day my dashcam caught a guy back into the front of my truck in a parking lot. I did get the license plate but the damage was mainly cosmetic and a couple clips came off which a put back. Basically I repaired it myself by pushing everything back together.
    i was pretty upset that he took off, im thinking of adding a metal bumper thats not too heavy just in case this were to happen again. truck is mainly a daily driver but i plan to do a few beginner trails and would like some sort of protection.
    what would you guys recommend?

    Sucks man.
    Unfortunately I have no real advise for you except to say that I’m stock and haven’t had any bumper issues on ‘beginner’ trails. I’m definitely glad that I got the skid plate though, as it’s taken some bumps and has some scars on it already. Definitely get yourself a skid plate if you don’t have one.
    Best of luck with your search, I’m sure someone more wise will chime in at some point.

    Honestly its whatever taste you want. There are dozens of bumpers from people accross the NA and it falls into what you want to do with the truck.

    Your simplest bet for a bumper is one of 2 major options;
    A low profile like the SSO Slimline, Warn low profile, victory, c4, and the list goes on

    Or

    Full bumper like CBI or ARB and that list goes for just as long as the low profile ones.

    Or since it was cosmetic damage, pick option 3 and dont get a bumper, your better off investing in rock sliders ( helps with door dings) and skid plates if you plan to do light trail
