Bumper alignment question

I have a 2008 Taco that I recently bought with 92k miles on it. Where the bumper meets the wheel well it is not aligned as well as it should be. (It sticks out about 1/8 inch from below the fender.) I looked into the wheel well and saw a cut out in the plastic well liner behind which is a bolt. I loosened the bolt and pushed the bumper edge in and then retightened the bolt. Problem is that the bolt never seemed to tighten securely. Anybody know what that bolt screws into and what can I do to get a tight fit?

Its probably not your bolt, but actually the anchor nut. Chances are you'll need to visit your local dealership to get a new one.

My curiousity, however, leads me to believe that something else is out of whack too. Chances are you've been bumped somewhere up there and other pieces are broken or bent. Bumpers don't just one day decide to not line up.
