When I did the ARB on my 2013, I purchased a cheap aftermarket cover from a local member who worked at a distributor that sold aftermarket parts. I was into it for just about $90. With the ARB and the design of the bumper it was easy to cut it and hide the cut line under the bumper so it was never seen. When I totaled the truck, I was able to sell the complete OEM bumper cover to a local member for $200.

That being said, a well designed pre-painted option for the 2016+ which requires much more exposed cover is a no-brainer. Half the reason I didn’t get another ARB was having to expose so much stock bumper and cut the grille. Having an unpainted bumper would look awful, and cutting the stock bumper would be painful.

I’m admittedly not the target market, but I’m definitely a fan of this piece even at this price point.

One of my big hangups for all these bumpers is the cut. Too many of them look poor, so this would be right up my alley. That, and the fog indent throws the lines off like @MESO said.

    I like it a lot.

This is my big problem now that Im considering another truck (no Im not). If I sell it with the bumper its $X, but without it I would have to pay to fix the front I cut up. My only regret is not getting a full size bumper and not worrying about this.

I'm not sure if it will work with SR models.

For people who have a hard time justifying paying for a quality product and the engineering behind it. The option is there to go with raw plastic and wrap it (unless you have quicksand because I'm not aware of any cheap vinyl rolls for our color) for cheap and call it a day.

I might paint it steelit gray like the bumper.

If you guys are having a hard time cutting that stock bumper up, or are worried about premium replacement caps, DO not install a high clearance rear bumper lolz! It might make you guys faint if you know what's involved. :sawzall::sawzall::sawzall:

What's the expected release date for this? I literally just had PPF installed on my brand new bumper, so I'd rather sell it off and get these than cut it up.

Too much to name for this little space
I started modding my truck back when I didn't have a vision for it. I got the Vengeance Bumper from Fab Fours that requires no cutting of the stock bumper. I was able to sell my stock bumper a year ago. Now I'm wanting a bumper with a winch instead of just a light bar and because I don't have the stock bumper with those plastic panels above the fog lights, my options are very limited for what I can actually use: they're called "full width" bumpers. I don't like the idea of cutting so it sounds like a great alternative except that price point. I might as well just go with a different full width bumper than waste $225 on panels just to open up my options back to the rest of the market

I for one am glad that Meso is involved in this. Meso has always made some really great mods for the Taco. I am certainly willing to pay for a product like this as I've seen so many poor bumper cut jobs -- this mod is definitely going to solve that problem.

@MESO -- I was told by Runnin4Tacos back in early Feb that it would be a couple of months before they believe they would receive the bumper cap inserts, then the inserts would need to be painted. Do you have a more up-to-date estimate? Thanks
