I have a 3rd generation 2017 XP model. I just installed this new bumper, but there's a gap. Trim? Any suggestions?

Damn. Everything lined up on both sides and bolted up tight?

Sell the bumper and get something less hideous-looking :D

It doesn't look like the bumper can move up more - gap with the grille is already tight. Maybe some edge seal like this? https://www.amazon.com/Trim-Lok-DDA1501-25-Durometer-Rubber-Carrier/dp/B00NL482UW (I just randomly Googled this. Obviously find something not overpriced.) Make sure the seal material is EPDM and not neoprene.

IMO those style of bumper just never looked right. They never fit right . I had a front bumper similar that made by metaltech4x4 was an absolute POS. Best is to swap it and get bumper caps or trim the OEM bumper

If I were you I would go with a different bumper. I agree with others, it just doesn't fit the truck (literally)

I appreciate the advice, but you guys just don't understand how rough I am with my truck. If any plastic or flimsy original part is exposed, consider it shattered. I would prefer the original set up, but between the county side, and white tail deer, I keep a backup grill and bumper available. Sacrificing asthetics for practical purposes is much cheaper.

You would have gotten a less ugly bumper with an ARB Summit bumper. Bonus points for being crash rated / tested and actually built for wildlife strikes.

The bumper you have looks like it’ll crumple with one strike.

if you are willing to "sacrifice aesthetics for practical purposes" and you are rough on the truck, then i'd say let it ride as-is.

imo though, that doesn't even look like the right bumper for the truck. it seems the bumper is designed to fit another truck, maybe a gen2 or even another brand...? it is certainly odd and hard to believe the manufacturer would sell that for a gen3.
