Bumper question

    98 xtra cab sr5
    I have a 98 Tacoma xtra can with an aftermarket step bumper. Recently someone backed into me and messed the whole bumper up along with some minor body damage to the bed. My body guy told me I could buy a new after market bumper or go no bumper. Going no bumper would require getting a panel that fills up that back area along with providing a license plate bracket. My question is what is that piece called? I have searched for the answer but can't find it. I have a couple pictures below. Thanks in advance
