    Not really, if it did in fact work well with a cutout / full metal surround, you could easily reinforce that area or design it to be just as strong with a hole. Bumpers don’t usually take point impact, bottom & leading edge are what gets hit off-road, and full face in accidents. Personally I’d like a real metal bumper for strength not looks. I find the cross traffic reversing stuff that’s part of BSM sensor super useful, BSM on its own is worthless, I agree, I wouldn’t miss that.

    I agree about the cross traffic. When backing up it's really useful. I myself have a steel high clearance rear but understand that many vendors have tried to make it work with the BSM sensor but it just never worked out. So I'll sacrifice that for the protection a high clearance offers.

    I tow our travel trailer out to the woods regularly and like the towing setup we already have. The FF bumper didn't change anything except make my rear suspension work better.
